BALLET/TUMBLING (5-6)
A combination class where dancers get to experience both ballet and tumbling in one session! Dancers will learn basic ballet terms, positions, and steps. They will also learn tumbling moves and build their strength.

-Leotard with skirt, leggings, or biker shorts. Hair in ponytail or bun. Pink ballet shoes.
BALLET 1 (7-9)
An artistic dance form which is very disciplined using precise
and highly formalized set steps and gestures. Skills taught are posture,
alignment, balance, poise, grace, technique, steps and their names. Classical
ballet, which originated in Renaissance Italy and established during the 19th
century, is characterized by light, graceful, fluid movements.

This class is for beginning ballet students and can repeated for 1-3 years for a strong foundation in ballet technique and terminology.

-Leotard, tights, skirt. Hair pulled back (ponytail or bun). Pink ballet shoes
MUSICAL THEATRE 1 (7+)
This class incorporates singing and acting with dancing. Pieces learned and performed are production numbers, scenes or novelty type numbers. A fun class that teaches students how to blend these arts, develop a strong stage presence and gain confidence in entertaining.

Jazz 1 (6-8)
A type of dance from native American origin characterized by
improvisation, syncopation, and usually a regular or forceful rhythm. Students
will learn fluid and static body movement, isolating muscles, rhythm, jumps,
leaps, turns and flexibility.

-Leotard or athletic shirt. Stretchy bottoms or skirt. Hair out of face. Tan jazz shoes.
JAZZ 2 (8-9)
A type of dance from native American origin characterized by
improvisation, syncopation, and usually a regular or forceful rhythm. Students will learn fluid and static body movement, isolating muscles, rhythm, jumps, leaps, turns and flexibility.

-Tuesday 4:45-5:30pm

DRESSCODE:
-Form fitting clothes, socks, bare feet, or jazz shoes. NO JEANS. Hair pulled back.
BEGINNING TAP (5-8)
Tap dancing involves shoes with metal plates on the bottom to hear
the sounds. Students start with basics that get built upon and added to becoming more intricate and complicated that are used throughout all tap dancing levels.
Focus is on Sound and Technique, Rhythm and Timing, while learning steps,
their names and how to incorporate them into choreography. As tappers
advance an awareness is made of the different types snd styles of percussive
dance.

TAP PINK (6+)

DANCING STARS-Autism and Special Needs (6-9)
This class is for children with special needs and will be taught by a trained professional in this area. Students will learn creative dance, enjoy fun music, make friends, and have an amazing time learning and growing through dance!

Hip Hop Youth (7-11)
Funky version of jazz, It includes a wide range of styles primarily breaking, locking, and popping which were created in the 1970s and made popular by dance crews in the United States.
