JAZZ 3 (11-12)

A type of dance from native American origin characterized by
improvisation, syncopation, and usually a regular or forceful rhythm. Students will learn fluid and static body movement, isolating muscles, rhythm, jumps, leaps, turns and flexibility.

-Form fitting clothes, socks, bare feet, or jazz shoes. NO JEANS. Hair pulled back.

JAZZ 4 (13+)

Contemporary 1 (9-12)

A type of dance with ballet emphasis, modern and jazz influence. It can be fluid or abrupt with unpredictable changes in rhythms, speed and direction. Employs contract and release, floor work and improvisation.

-Wednesday 4:00-4:45pm

DRESS CODE:

-form fitting clothes that you can move in. NO JEANS. hair pulled back out of face.

CONTEMPORARY 2 (13+)

A type of dance with ballet emphasis, modern and jazz influence. It can be fluid or abrupt with unpredictable changes in rhythms, speed and direction. Employs contract and release, floor work and improvisation.

BALLROOM (teens)

Ballroom dance is a set of partner dances which can be done both socially and competitively. Styles range from waltz, quickstep, cha-cha, samba, and many more! Dancers will learn different styles as well as proper dance position, footwork, and rhythm.

BALLROOM Youth (9-12)

Ballroom dance is a set of partner dances which can be done both socially and competitively. Styles range from waltz, quickstep, cha-cha, samba, and many more! Dancers will learn different styles as well as proper dance position, footwork, and rhythm.

-Tuesday 6:25-7:10pm

-Clothes you can move in. Closed-toed shoes.

BALLET 2 (9-12)

An artistic dance form which is very disciplined using precise
and highly formalized set steps and gestures. Skills taught are posture,
alignment, balance, poise, grace, technique, steps and their names. Classical
ballet, which originated in Renaissance Italy and established during the 19th
century, is characterized by light, graceful, fluid movements.

​

This class is a beginning/intermediate class that prepares dancers for more advance technique by laying a strong foundation. This class can be repeated for several years. 

​

DAY AND TIME:

-Thursday 5:30-6:15pm

DRESSCODE:

-Black leotard, pink tights, skirt or spandex shorts. Hair pulled back (ponytail or bun). Pink ballet shoes

BALLET 3 (13+)

TAP RED (11-13)

Tap dancing involves shoes with metal plates on the bottom to hear
the sounds. Students start with basics that get built upon and added to becoming more intricate and complicated that are used throughout all tap dancing levels.
Focus is on Sound and Technique, Rhythm and Timing, while learning steps, their names and how to incorporate them into choreography. As tappers advance an awareness is made of the different types snd styles of percussive dance.

DAY AND TIME:

-Monday 5:45-6:30pm

​

DRESSCODE:

-Dance attire (stretchy clothes, leggings,...etc.) NO JEANS. Hair out of face, black tap shoes

TAP SILVER (13+)

*(needs teacher approval)

Tap dancing involves shoes with metal plates on the bottom to hear
the sounds. Students start with basics that get built upon and added to becoming more intricate and complicated that are used throughout all tap dancing levels.
Focus is on Sound and Technique, Rhythm and Timing, while learning steps, their names and how to incorporate them into choreography. As tappers advance an awareness is made of the different types snd styles of percussive dance.

Tappers in this class usually have had 5+ years of tap experience. 

​

TAP GOLD (14+)
